IPTV Subscribers Predicted to Reach 102 Million in 2014
According to a new report from Multimedia Research Group, IPTV revenues and subscribers will grow more than 25% over the next four years. The report predicts that IPTV subscribers will reach 102 million in 2014, while revenues will grow at 27%, reaching US$ 46 billion in 2014.
The fastest growth for this market is predicted to come from Asia, China, and India, while Europe will have 45% of the global IPTV market in 2014. The report predicts Asia to hold 31% of the market and North America to have 19% in 2014.
There are currently over 800 IPTV providers and in the next four years, 23 of them are predicted to pass the million-subscriber mark.
