Offer Clients the option for Virtualization through your VoIP services

Yes isn’t that fantastic! Nowadays customers can have a virtual geographical location thanks to Direct DID service.

For example, if your customer is located in NY and he has business partners in the UK that call him very often, your customer can sign up for Direct DID service from you and receive from you a unique UK DID number. Your customer will give such UK DID number to his business partners and now when they call your customer, for them this call will be local but yet the call will be forwarded to your customer’s phone number in NY. Let’s say the same customer of yours have family in France, again he can also get a France DID number from you and forward it to his number in NY, when his family in France call him for them this call will be local but he will receive the call in his NY phone as the system will do the call forwarding to the number he is able to set up and change at any time via his web portal.

Direct DID opens for you a whole new market that will be happy to use this service from you. Your customer, by having so many different DID numbers from different place will allow him to be present at all times with his family, friends or business associates. This is also great to offer to Companies that would like to get to markets other than their domestic one, they can buy from you DID numbers from different Countries and all the incoming calls they receive to such numbers will be forwarded to their main company phone number located for example within the US.

If you wish to learn more about Direct DID solution please contact Andrea Lopez at andrea@ipsmarx.com .

This is a great value added module to start the 2012 with infinite possibilities to grow your business with great services like Direct DID.

Colocation Provider ColoGuard Announces an Alliance with IPsmarx Technology for VoIP Server Hosting

ColoGuard’s fast, direct network routes now available to IPsmarx VoIP providers for billing and switching solutions.

NEW YORK, Aug. 25, 2011 — ColoGuard, a leading provider of enterprise colocation services, announced today that it is extending its presence in Internet telephony by working with VoIP solutions provider, IPsmarx Technology.

The alliance will give IPsmarx’s customers access to ColoGuard’s fast, direct network routes to cities around the world and to parent company GalaxyVisions’ world-class dedicated managed services. VoIP service providers who work with IPsmarx will be able to offer the clearest calls possible to their customers around the world.

“ColoGuard is well known in the industry for its excellent service, and GalaxyVisions for its fast hardware and software installations, and responsive customer support,” said Ashley Kurpel of IPsmarx. “With their focus on VoIP, we’re able to offer our customers the best quality of service at the lowest possible price.”

Internet telephone service is extremely sensitive to inefficient network routing and latency. ColoGuard is acclaimed for network routes that can reach most foreign countries in under 10 hops and well below the 300ms latency threshold for crystal-clear VoIP conversations. ColoGuard also offers separate network segments provisioned specifically for VoIP clients.

“This alliance is one of many steps we are taking to penetrate a fast-growing segment of the VoIP market,” said ColoGuard Vice President Ruben Magurdumov, “We are pleased to work with IPsmarx, offering award-winning billing and switching solutions to VoIP Service Providers in over 65 countries and superior technical support.”

ColoGuard Enterprise Colocation Solutions launched in April 2011 and quickly gained the VoIP industry’s attention with a network that provides direct connectivity to five Tier-1 providers and dark-fiber availability around the tri-state region.

At the International Telecoms Week conference in May, ColoGuard announced that it would beat any competitor’s pricing the New York area. The deal not only guarantees the lowest price but also service that tops any other datacenter in the region. Since ITW, GalaxyVisions and ColoGuard have updated their dedicated plans and set up an extremely competitive affiliate program.

CologGuard’s 15,000-square-foot Brooklyn datacenter features dedicated power lines from multiple providers as well as high-capacity generators, each with a 72-hour fuel supply. Among the security features are biometric scanners with pass-card access, mantraps at the main entry, fully archived video surveillance and 24/7/365 onsite monitoring and support.

VoIP Professionals Starting to Gear up for This Year’s Holiday Traffic

The end of summer in the Washington DC area is a notoriously slow time for business. Kids are getting ready to go back to school and parents are taking any opportunity for some warm weather vacation time. Traffic dies down and community pools fill up, but for professionals in the VoIP industry, there is no summer “break.”

This is the time of year when service providers are gearing up to support their peak holiday traffic, beginning in October and going all the way through January. This is the time to stress test softswitches, add new carriers, and make sure all of the tools are in place to support a holiday marketing initiative. We’re working with our existing clients to implement redundancy and capacity upgrades to ensure that their system will support the accelerated traffic volume that the holidays bring. For more information about redundancy, you can view a video here: http://www.ipsmarx.com/videos/redundancy.html.

For start ups, this is a very exciting time, as it may be their first opportunity to capitalize on the holiday voice traffic. We’re working with start-ups to make sure they launch their business in time to take advantage of the holiday traffic and offering marketing features, such as email marketing, bonus point management, and E-store promotions.

If you’re thinking of starting a VoIP business, this is the perfect time of year to get started. You can view a complete list of our business ideas here: http://ipsmarx.com/Solutions/ForEntrepreneurs/BusinessIdeas.html.

IPsmarx has done it again – Breeze Mobile Softphone becomes another award winner for its product line!

At the end of 2010, IPsmarx released its line of mobile dialers and named it “Breeze”. “We called it Breeze”, explained Ashley Kurpel, the Marketing Coordinator at IPsmarx, “because it was such a refreshing feature in the industry, it was easy to use, and the weight of your cell-phone bill becomes instantly lighter from it. ‘Breeze’ was the perfect name for this product!”

Fast forward 7 months – and Breeze is now an award winner. TMC Net, the web’s largest telecommunications community, has honoured the IPsmarx line of Mobile Dialers with their 2010 Communications Award.

According to TMC, the Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award acknowledges the most innovative products that facilitate voice, data and video communications. Rich Tehrani, TMC’s CEO elaborated that winning companies were selected due to their “dedication to quality and superiority while addressing marketplace needs.”

It’s no wonder that IPsmarx met this criteria. We didn’t just want to offer service providers run-of-the-mill dialers already available on the market. We looked at what end-users wanted from a Mobile VoIP Application and exceeded expectations. They didn’t want to have to delve into phone settings to configure their dialers – so we enabled auto-provisioning for Breeze; just download, log in, and call!  Customers don’t want the hassle of getting to a computer to refill their account balance, so we facilitated secure recharging through the App, and even credit card auto-recharging when the account reaches a pre-set balance determined by the user.

Your international calling rates are a key feature that help customers choose your mobile VoIP services over another, so we allow you to display your competitive calling rates right on screen! We also took into account the times when the network signal or WiFi suddenly cut out on mobile devices. In such a scenario, our PINless dialing feature kicks in and prompts the caller to place the call through a local access number connected to their PINless account. And for customers with free local calling from their cell phone carriers – that international call wouldn’t even be noted on their monthly cellphone bill!

Perhaps most impressive, is Breeze’s superior voice quality through the G.729 codec. The industry standard apparatus for testing voice quality demonstrated that the quality and clarity on Breeze beat out the top 2 competitor’s mobile softphones!

It is advanced and unique features like these that have garnered IPsmarx’s line of Mobile Softphones the coveted Product of the Year Award, and we look forward to impressing you as much as we did the panel at TMC. Just email breeze@ipsmarx.com for more information or a no-obligation test account of Breeze 2.0 for your own Android or iPhone.

Take the IPsmarx Mobile Dialer G729 Voice Quality Challenge!

If you are looking to be a reliable and reputable VoIP service provider, you know one of the most (if not THE most) important feature that customers request and require is good voice quality. The cost savings of VoIP on cell phones is very advantageous, but no one wants to hear an echo like they’re in the Grand Canyon when calling loved ones, or have to wait an inordinate amount of seconds to hear their callee respond. There is also the ubiquitous “bathroom effect”, giving calls a muffled sound.

These effects all drastically lessen the voice quality of a call, and too many VoIP Mobile Dialers on the market suffer from it! (Yes, even the pay-to-download ones).

The Development Team at IPsmarx was not content to offer our customers this inadequate quality and performance.  Through the top voice quality apparatus available, we tested our G729 codec Breeze Mobile Dialer against the leading mobile softphones on the market and knew we succeeded: our jitter was the lowest, our Mean Opinion Score (MOS) was the highest, and our overall Stream Quality Index (SQI) was at 100%!

Echo Cancellation and Filter Implementation are standard features with IPsmarx’s Breeze.

Take the test for yourself: just email breeze@ipsmarx.com with the subject CHALLENGE and get your no-obligation Breeze test account for your own IPhone  or Android and  see for yourself! We can guarantee that the voice quality of  Breeze  matches your networks’ to a tee! That means that if your clients have optimal signal and a reliable network on their smartphones – they can except the same exceptional quality calling through Breeze!

*Please include your name, contact number, country, and smartphone model in the body of the email.  (We respect your privacy and never sell or rent your information. Requesting a test account will not result in more spam!)

Be amazed at how great mobile VoIP can sound; take the IPsmarx Breeze Voice Quality Challenge!

Learn More About Why IPsmarx’ Technical Support Packages Are Getting Rave Reviews.

All IPsmarx systems come with an initial Technical Support package to help you get started. With the start of 25 vouchers in the package, generally 15 of those will be used for the training. That’s worth 5 hours of training, and you can spread the use of the vouchers however you want. If you only need 3 hours of training then you will have 2 hours remaining to be used at a later time if you want.

The vouchers from your package that you don’t use for your training will be your Technical Support Vouchers. If you use up all 15 vouchers for Training, you will then have 10 left for support.

If you need technical assistance and have a valid support package (remaining vouchers), you can go to the Technical Support Ticketing System via IPsmarx.com and open a ticket to report the issue and or request you have. Support for emergencies is 24 hours. Once our technicians assist you, based on the time they spent on your issues, they will deduct a certain number of vouchers from your package. The system is 3 vouchers per hour of support. Some tickets that you open will get multiple vouchers taken off, and some tickets won’t get any deducted.

While you have vouchers remaining in your package, you can continue to open tickets and our technicians will help you. Once the vouchers run out, you will need to repurchase a package to receive further technical assistance.

All support packages have unlimited duration meaning that they don’t have an expiry date.  You are free to use your tickets and support packages whenever you need them without the worry of them expiring.

Vouchers are not deducted if the issue is determined to be caused by a problem in the IPsmarx Software rather than a settings, customization, configuration or Third Party issue. We do not fault customers for any internal issues.

The Development of the Calling Card Industry

The Calling Card industry has gone through significant transformations in which IPsmarx has contributed to. Below is a brief history of how the calling card industry has developed and where it is now.

  1. In the beginning, there were traditional calling cards which users purchased at a retail location. Users would have to dial an access number followed by a PIN number and the destination number.
  2. Since traditional calling cards posed many inconvenient aspects for users, PINless cards and flexible PIN numbers were developed so that users would not have to dial a lengthy PIN number each time they made a call.
  3. To increase convenience, calling cards offered a new feature which allowed multiple users to use the same PIN number. This was used mainly in businesses where international calls were made by many employees on a daily basis.
  4. The industry then focused on payment and balance recharge of calling cards. Rechargeable PINs or Top-up, auto recharge, and rechargeable to IVR features were so that customers would not have to purchase a new card each time their balance ran out. This simplified the payment process for customers.
  5. However, the calling card industry could be further simplified. Features such as, Direct DID and DID Forwarding, provided users with one unique phone number that eliminated the need for dialing access numbers and PIN numbers. Other options such as, Speed Dial, were also developed to increase convenience for end users.
  6. IPsmarx then followed by developing Permanent Accounts or Subscription Services which meant that users no longer needed a physical calling card.
  7. To expand on the Permanent Accounts, IPsmarx created the PINless Reseller Module which simplified the process by allowing users to go to a reseller and subscribe for a Permanent Account. This latest development means that resellers no longer have to carry inventory of physical calling cards at their retail locations.
